Freight Claims and Policies
The consignee must inspect the cargo upon delivery. If there is any damage to the pallet or packaging, refuse the cargo before signing the Bill of Lading. If there are any signs of damage or issues with the shipment, make sure to note them on the Proof of Delivery (POD) on both the carrier's and consignee's copies.
Freight damages must be reported to AMPTO within 48 hours of receipt. Please use the following link to report freight claims: Freight Claims. When reporting, ensure you provide the type of damage, piece count, model number, and include photos of the damage.
Important: The unit must not be used. Any used item will not be applicable for the freight claim or concealed damage process.
If the POD on the Bill of Lading is not signed and the damage is not reported, the claim process will be denied from the beginning.
